These Advance Termite Monitoring Stations are placed in the ground ten (10) to fifteen (15) feet apart around the exterior of your home using your drill gun and the auger supplied with the kit. Closer placements result in better monitoring and treatment. And, stations should be about two to three feet out from the foundation of the house. You can place it as far as ten (10) feet from the foundation walls if necessary, but, I wouldn't go any further in order to assure a better perimeter protection. Install in grassy or landscaped areas. For concrete or asphalt applications, creation of a cavity through the concrete or asphalt is considered to be "the station" housing the components, and the station itself is not needed, just install the monitoring cartridge and cover the opening with one of our exterior expandable plugs (sold separately).
